We climbed up to the end of our street this morning and then took stairs that led to Panoramica del Fortin, a road that circumnavigates the northern part of the city and provides some wonderful viewpoints. There is also a restaurant there, which we wanted to check out, Humito de Copal, which has great reviews and was founded by the Mexican singer-songwriter Lila Downs. We made reservations for Saturday (review to follow). Afterwards we returned to the Zocalo or main plaza and explored more of the shops there.
Today's dinner venue was an Italian restaurant, Sicilia Pizza y Pasta, which is a three- minute walk from our apartment. Paula had Spaghetti a la Bolognesa and I had Spaghetti a la Arrabiata. Both were delicious.
Strolling around after dinner, we continued to enjoy the pleasant climate: slightly cloudy skies, enough clouds to be beautiful but which don't block the sunshine, usually a slight breeze, and a temperature range of 50 to 79. No rain in sight. Sorry you Californians, Oregonians and Montanans!
